Fellas, since super eliminator is about setting new records, it seems to me if a cc challenge applied it would be when a person set a record for the given engine size they're claiming. Not if they win the overall race. Those records go in the national data base for eternity. They don't archive wins.

Exactly.  8)

Well, I think it would be great if something can be agreed on.  Having a set of "the best we can rationalize" rules set up for Super Eliminator only give greater potential reasons for participating.  It would increase my interest since I live in the Northeast.  It's a long drive to even the closest race for me.  Not having the years of experience and dedicated electronic equipment to have a reasonable chance of lasting many rounds in Street ET, having a separate category to also run in that allows me 3 qualifying shots at a personal best and perhaps a record is huge.  That's a real boost to my potential interest anyway.

Haven't forgotten that Sam but as I watched them perform the inspection I didn't NOTICE stroke measurement. Perhaps I just missed that? Old Scrambler would set me straight but he's enjoyhing his retirement dream cruise to Alaska.  :D

Watching with interest. I have access to most engine sizes mentioned. Isn't there an air pump style CC checker?

We need more suggestions/ feedback. Keep the dialogue going gentleman. I know there's no easy answer as to parity but perhaps with your input, some common ground can be reached. Anything regarding a cc check must be easily done and non-intrusive for the bike owner.

Here's one version of a simple, non-invasive displacement checker. - http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedway-Engine-Cubic-Inch-Tester-Tool,703.html

Only issue with these types of testers (more then 1 manufacturer) is the valves must be disabled in the cylinder being tested (need to stay closed through multiple strokes).  If the adjusters were loosened right off, and the valves wouldn't open then this would be a simple way to check displacement.
