I think you are confusing metallic with metal flake. Most/many paints are metallic, where it has tiny metallic like pieces in the paint. They can be small or larger in size, still very small compared to metal flake. Metal flake is a three, or more step, process that uses very large pieces that are sprayed as a separate step. Or perhaps you are confusing it with a candy that was used on some of the colors? because, there is no "true metallic" term associated with metallic colors. They are very, very common and not such a big deal.
