Favourite "how-to" SOHC4 videos?
« on: September 17, 2017, 12:15:07 PM »
I've been voraciously consuming articles and youtube videos on SOHC4s (or similar engines) to increase my understanding of how they work, how to work on them, what the parts are, etc.

What are your favourite videos on these topics?  Some of these I've already covered quite a few times (carbs, electric/chargin, points/condensers) but more is better.

subjects desired (SOHC4 specific if possible!!:)
- how carbs work
- how the charging system works
- how points/condensers work/ignition system works
- fuel path from tank to pistons in a motorcycle

ANY other SOHC4 how to videos you think are great.  Including explanations of systems, repairs, troubleshooting, tuning, or just cool stuff.  I want to LEARN!

Thanks for everyone's awesome help lately.

Dino (a member here) has his Hackaweek series where he builds a K3 750.

There a few inconsistencies (I learned the hardway) but for an overall understanding, his videos are great.

Why Ichiban of course:

+1 of course!

And if you plan on running air pods or racing velocity stacks, be sure to view his video on adjustable pods!!

What were the inconsistencies?

I didn't watch all the videos, but from the few I watched;

Torque specs on the cam holder bolts were incorrect.....fork seals were installed upside down....and spark advancer info.

The videos are great, I'll just confirm certain information next time I'm using his videos for instruction.

Hmmm was it you recently who sheared the bolts after getting the wrong torque specs from a video?
