Negative Battery Cable placement
« on: September 15, 2017, 03:26:35 PM »
Hi, can anyone describe or point to a photo of the correct placement of the Negative battery cable?
I purchased a 1972 last weekend and I am trying my best to fix as many of the issues possible.
I am assuming that it is supposed to be connected to this rear engine mounting bolt??

Thanks!

Technically it goes between the engine mount and the frame on the upper rear motor mount on the left side. Don't have a 750 here at the moment to get a picture, sorry.

I have mine run to the right rear motor mount.  It don't really matter as long as it's a good conception to the frame, I use grounds to the frame for everything.

Edit
If you are don't mind it not being stock they are easy to rewire and a fresh job will work much better than the old crusty wire just use all watter tight conectors if possible.
