« on: September 24, 2017, 03:58:35 PM »
i installed this https://z1parts.net/cb750-cb550-cb500-throttle-cable-a-pull/ on my 750 yesterday.  throttle is buttery smooth.  however i have the adjustments all the way out to take up the slack.  anyone have the same issue?  any fixes/work arounds/something i'm missing?

I also had that on my K1, I even used the nut at the grip to try and get some more slack. I tried different throttle tubes from my parts bins and found one that was better. No idea what it was off of. The metal one didn't help.

It might be that it is the cable for the CB750F0/1. This often gets mixed up when someone orders the "1975" or "1976" CB750 throttle cable. The one for the "F" bikes has about 0.5cm longer cable in the sheath, due to differences in the carb throttle mounts where they must clear the extra hoses in this model of the 750. For the K6, you would need the same one as found in the K4 to get a more precise fit.

...and many of the vendors don't have any idea about this...

It's been my experience that all those cheap black (Emgo?) throttle cables the various vendors are selling for 750's and 550's and probably other bikes are the same length.
