For those that have purchased side covers from FrankenFrankenstuff (or whatever his current alias is!  ;D ) how do you rate them.

I’m a bit pissed off with the bloke I took my 500k1 side covers to, for painting.
He reckons it took a lot of labour to strip them back, and then after the gloss black application he was able to see a crack in one cover which had been fixed by the previous owner with fibreglass (I know this).
Anyway, he reckons to make everything “perfect” will cost me $500!!  I told him no way, so we’re at an impasse currently.
I may just give them up to him, and buy some replicas off DSS or Franken (www.fb-stuff.com).  Then find someone to paint them.  I reckon I’ll still come out well under the $500.

G'Day Andy, I've bought heaps of side covers from Joe (Frankenstuff) and they're excellent quality. Heavier, thicker than original, but easy to install and remove. I'll buy more as I need them. Cheers, Terry. ;D

You won't be disappointed. As far as I'm concerned Franken's side covers are an upgrade and are better than stock.

Do some practising and paint them yourself, then you're down to just the cost of materials.
Once you know how, you're never at a body man's mercy again. 8)

I have two sets and they are very good parts.  If I need more, that is where I would go for more.
