Just saying hello
« on: December 29, 2006, 07:19:51 AM »
Hoe is every one out there? My name is Brent, and I am out of Columbus, Ohio. I have been into old British cars for years, restoring and race prep. I have been bitten by the motorcycle bug and now working on a CB550. Thanks for reading and please be patient, these bikes are new to me.

Hi Brent
Good to have another Ohio member. I am about 10 miles south of Springfield. My 550 project is stalled at the moment. I should have my 750 running by spring.
My Berkeley powered by Crosley is sharing my garage with my sohc4s, Panthers, and a Matchless.

Anyways isred, welcome to the boards. We've been seeing a number of new ohio members. I think a spring ride is in order.

Welcome! If you can restore old british cars, you should have no trouble with an old jap bike.

Hi Heffay
I am class of 1970. I believe that you were much more recent. Is that correct? Did you leave behind a '78CB550F?

yes... i was there in the 01-02 season.

about the cb550f... nope.  why do you ask?  there was a guy there that rode an older blue bike but, it was long enough ago that i don't remember what it was.  but, if i'd owned my cb then i would probably remember if it was.

i bet antioch was CRAZY in the sixties!  i don't regret attending my first year there... but the $33,000/year pricetag kept me from staying longer.

Welcome, Isred.  I purchased my bike in Ohio, does that count for anything?
