No worries mate! The shipping will add too much and I have wheels for the moment.
But you might have a business here
- Where do you get the liner from?
I visited UK December last year, Milton Keynes. No pleasure, work only. I might be open for helping our UK colleagues if it is in the right location
I get the liners from my local motor factors. I know MK very well, was born in the area before it was built.
Pardon my ignorance but, what is a "motor factor". Please forgive my implication that it might be possible to do a turn around on the drum liner replacement work in one's typical vacation that many would take of a week or two. Most of the expense in a vacation abroad is that of getting there if one plans well ahead and shops for good deals.
FWIW, from my perspective...
Often Americans will get two weeks of vacation plus holidays in a salaried position after being there for a year or so. With senority at a company usual one receives additional days of vacation. So, often American vacations will be a couple weeks or less unless it is piggybacked to a business trip.
Some companies allow you to take additional time off without pay if you are salaried. But, there are some I have worked for who do not and it can become a problem trying to take more than a week off.
Trigger, thank you for giving input and instructions as well as personal experience on the subject. I have an old Honda CA95 Benly Touring 150 rear hub that needs a new drum liner...I had figured it was merely aluminum scrap.
