Finally started work on the 74' 550 Boss Maroon

Ok people, I got my cutting wheel, plugged it in, and sat there for about 2 hours before I started cutting. I asked the Honda Gods to forgive me, I told them I was too stoned to know any better... I don't have the budget to buy a new welder so I left the rear end this way since I can't weld on a custom loop or cowl. My buddy is back in town now though so I will have some access to a welder. I got some sheet metal to work on the seat pan but Im thinking about getting crazy with it. I cut away very carefully, removed the passenger peg brackets for a cleaner look. Pretty basic #$%* in the CB fab community. There are a few things I would like to accomplish on this bike, I want a very high level seat, built in storage, flip/lift capability, and great comfort. I will be tackling all the fabrication work myself, time to test my abilities I say. I was thinking about a custom taillight on the rear that spells out "HONDA" in red. As of right now I want this to be a hooligan bike, Im leaving it stripped bare metal for now, next season I will decide on cleaning it up once more and clear coating it or slapping some fresh black on the frame. ORIGINALLY I was going to restore this bike but I said F it because the bike had just enough rust on everything for me to go the custom route. I wanted to build around this boss maroon tank, dropped it one day, attempted stud welding, put a hole in my tank, brazed it, ruined paint job, but I'm still keeping the paint and it feels even more so like a hooligan bike now. I found this neat rear tail light that might fit right into the space on the rear, figured I could fab a housing for it and see if it works.

The motor is going to Phil, I rather pay him to go through it and call it good than me try to do everything on my own. He usually lets me stick around and watch him work anyway.
