The stock headlight uses a WHITE wire for LO, BLUE wire for HI and GREEN for GROUND.

The Koso has a tach signal wire (often yellow) that you will wrap around the a plug wire (6-8 wraps) to provide the input signal. Power for it comes through the stock BLACK wire in your harness.

Sorry if that’s not enough explanation but you provided nothing for background  ;)

Might be helpful if you provided a bit more information about your non-stock stuff. Like a wiring diagram from it? Is your bikes harness stock? Switch controls stock?

So provide th actual headlight brand and model and the same for the koso. Better yet, post the wiring diagrams from them.

There’s a bit more instructions on the headlight, clipped in your picture. Can you capture those written instructions?

The only thing that I’m unsure about is the 3rd wire for the turns, “stop” wire in red. That may be used with other types of bikes but it is not used on an SOHC.

Not necessary to buy a new one, it’s just going to require splicing and connecting to make it work.

Do you have the tools and skills to do the job?

Start here for understanding of your stock harness:

I'll try to type up a table for each (headlight and speedo) to match to the stock harness shortly.

You'll need to run to the auto parts store, or other electrical supply house, to grab some connectors/plugs. You need an H4 type 3 prong connector for the headlight. You can get that off the shelf. You'll push the new headlight wires into that, properly oriented. Then, you can plug and play the headlight. The "turn" signal wires will need a different and independent connector to mate to the stock wires.

You can either use a source like www.vintageconnections.com to obtain stock type, or cut the stock end from the switch housing and then install male/female connectors on both sides. You'll also want some solder (thin, rosin core type) and some shrink wrap.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but, then you need to have someone who does have these minimal skills perform this install. Because the wiring carries current, if you do it wrong, you'll damage your components, blow fuses, and melt wires. Nothing catastrophic, but certainly damn expensive and it will render your bike inoperable. If you were just a little bit closer, I'd be happy to do it with you. But you're on the wrong coast for me  ;)

If you find a pal with skills, let me know. I'll happily provide you a map for wiring these devices into your stock harness correctly so they only need to do the work without decoding anything.

They should be under the seat, under the triangular body panel. That’s where your stock “electrics” are
