Header wrap?
« on: January 01, 2007, 05:54:55 AM »
This isn't going on the 750. I decided to wrap the steal headers that are on the
Lancia. I had an extra set and wanted to keep engine bay temps down.
Anyway, now I've been told that wrapping the plain steal headers causes them to
crystallize quickly and fall apart. Anyone have any observations or first hand experience
with this??

Not sure but if you are worried about it - have them ceramic coated (about $150) , and then you coudl wrap them.
Or just leave them with the high heat coating on them and call it a day..

I decided not to worry, they were used headers I had laying around and
I'll see how long they last with the wrap.
