Topic: Anyone can identify this key?

Bought the bikes back in July from nyc.

1971 cb750k1. Production dated at 1971 September.

Seem like I can’t find much information on this key and switches online. Most likely ex owner have replace it to aftermarket set?

Anyone can help? Have to buy another set of key just in case.

just bay one on e bay..but take the number vho is hammered on the back side of the key housing..or thek your helmet Lock..they use to be the same key..and key kode

Sorry. I thought the number should be at front above the key hole? For the 750k1, no seat or helmet lock. Just one key to the main switches.

 I think its an aftermarket switch, compare the lettering on that to some of the others .
 Undo the ring, code may be on the side of switch.

He might have that exact key, or he can sell you the correct blank key, and then just have yours copied.

My original key to my CB750 K6 look exactly like that except the number. I do not remember the number which is short, 64 something. The ignition switch it belongs to stopped work in early 80's, replaced by a switch hidden under the tank. Ign switch was still on bike not connected and finally fell of while driving a year or 2 later

Now a cheap aftermarket  ign switch with same key shape but no Honda logo. The bike has now 1 key for ignition, original key for seat and a 3:rd for steering still functional original. (steering was different from the very beginning)

I think the US market keys looked different?

For my K2 build I got a lock for the seat with only one key, I ordered a new Honda key from Germany which I got last week. Number T followed by 4 digits.

This must be the way to solve it, especially for American bikers. I bought mine expensive, but could not resist since I just found the key when buying other parts from them. Shipping from US to Europe might be 10-15 USD for shipping only that will make it costly

Mine looks exactly the same except for the number. It came with an OEM matched seat and ignition lock I bought 2 years ago. I think a Honda dealer shells be able to get you copies based off the code.
