Once back together and I touch the cable to the positive of a battery it should spin correct? Because it isn’t 😭

Um, you know you need two connections, right? The motor case to batt neg, and the big cable to batt pos.

So I just realized that a bike is usually a neg ground so the motor grounds to bike which completes the circuit  :o  ya I am kinda slow

Also does any one have the two long screws I think they are 5mm x 101mm

you can bay thredent shaft in meters..and cut the needet lenghts..its not a strong type threds but.. can do the job..if they sell metric stuff..near by..?

Thank you for your help.  Does your part list give the part number to the long screws that hold the end caps on?

no the long bolts are not numbered...but try to bay some used...bay used on e bay are to kosty..gold diggers  all over...easyest to bay some metric long threads..m4 or m5( cant even renember)

Can you measure the length of the bolts you need?
With your starter assembled, measure the length needed.
I have a line on a box of used starter motors.
Mght be able to get what you need.  But, none of the starters are marked where they come from.
