New here!
« on: October 21, 2017, 02:34:15 PM »
Hello everyone, new here!  Had my 1974CB 750 K4 since I literally dragged it out of my friends wifes mothers garage in 1998. It had been her brothers who moved to Germany and left it there from the early eighties. No tank, fenders, side covers , headlight or exhaust. The engine was complete and after freeing up the front brake I hooked up an "IV" bottle of gas and it started! Drove it around the yard like that-clutch worked and it ran. Being that it was before I had a computer on line I scoured the junkyard and ordered parts from them out of the back of MC mags... After a near fatal getoff in 2002 I bared rode anymore but kept "Betsy".
Anyways my older son just got his MC license and a brand new Indian.  This renewed my interest in my old 750. Cleaned the carbs, new feul lines a good cleaning etc. Running great and looking pretty good too. Still there are things I'd like to do and I'm sure the answers are probably here! Looking forward to discussing them. OK heres a pic of her from todays ride-actually drove it about 50 miles today. I know not far but about 20X farther than I have in years. Bob
