All,

Just so you know I have searched before bringing a question that's probably been asked a thousand times. I did the Google thing where only sales and Pintest showed up and I've went through 12 pages here as this was a similar topic for me at the start of the project but can't find the topic.

Question,  Is there a secret to installing (re-installing) the crimp rings on the tach and speedo that holds the two halves together.   I've got new faces, redid the needles, painted the black housings (not too bad) but I can't get the seal compressed evenly to get the ring re-crimped.  I tried crimping four corners but once done as i'm working around the edge like lugs on a car, opposite side works loose at some point.   I need a way to compress seal all at once.  It would leave slack in ring.    Plus I'm trying  not to scratch the black paint. 

I'm hoping there is a neat trick to holding secure 8-).

you can bay some vho are split..and have a small screv in the bottom..so it can be teighten together

they are not so nice..as the orginal rings.(.you can get nev rings like the orginal..if you have splashed them)
