do you have an angle finder? could you measure the rake on this? how long is the front end? rear leg top to bottom?

I checked it with an angle finder when i got it, it was about 50 degrees

i'll have to re measure the springer i think it was 38-39". i think it worked out to 17-18" over.

I measured the springer, with the new rockers and the springs tightened, it measured dead on 40" from the top of the bottom tree to the center of the axle

I didn't get to see it in person, but I saw pictures. I talked to him awhile back. I believe he sold most or all of the bikes he had. some nice bikes in that line up. I wish I could have seen them in person.

Santee wiring Box - It took me a while to figure out how I wanted to try mounting all the stuff in the box. Here is what i came up with, Hopefully once I get it all wired up it looks clean and there isn't any electrical interference having all of the stuff so close together in a metal box.

Recently made the Chainguard. I used two aftermarket CB750 chain-guards I had. The Denver's chain-guards were made out of U channel that was bent. I considered doing that but chose to go this route.

After welding I Used a hammer to touch it up, I ended up turning it into a bananna and had a heck of a time trying to get it straight again, as it turns out I think i was stretching the steel on the flat faces but the corner was not, that caused the bananna shape. At one point I was tempted to scrap it because it looked pretty bad. I kept working with it though and finally got it pretty straight. It may not be good enough to re-chrome though, I'm not sure yet.

Made the tag holder and taillight mount. I didn't like seeing the bulb socket sticking out the back of the taillight so made a cover for it.

Finished up the sissybar. Added the mounts for the taillight and tag holder, welded up the new tab I added for the chain guard. The sissy bar is done just like the original denver's were as best I could anyway.

coupe you can run an automotive ignition switch and ditch the starter solenoid. that frees up a little room in the box. youre making great progress, keep up the good work!

Thanks. I'll check into that. I think because the current is so high there has to be a starter solenoid. I know Fords all have solenoids. Can you show me what kind of switch you mean?

The ones from Napa work. Don’t get the ones from autozone or checker auto for obvious reasons.

Does that eliminate solenoid, I never knew about that.
I am trying to remember if the coils always went into those chrome boxes..?
Anyway if your coils are down there, you can run your plug wires thru the cylinders near the center, it looks good... use 7mm silicone wires.

I’ve used those switches for several years. I’ve run coils in the boxes too with the plug wires through the jugs.

Santee also made a coil box that mounts off the frame below the triple tree.

I've never see those switches before, That's good to know.

I started looking for one of the coil boxes you guys are talking about but I really wanted to try to get it all in the one box. If I had it to do over again I would have went with traditional stock style coils rather than the dyna coils.

My Santee box was already cut for the plug wires when I got it, I plan to clean up the shape of the hole a little bit to make it look a little better. I have dyna wires, I'll have to check but I think they are good wires. Thanks for the tips
