Dogecoin FTW!!!!!

What about SOHC4 coin!  We could make it the only way to buy or sell parts!  Isn't that how paypal became a giant by making it the only processor for Ebay?

have a link to the forking software.  bet we could pump sohc4 coin pretty hard on social media and reddit.

You at a coin yet?

ask me in two years.  mining is not a get rich quick scheme.

but being able to hold three different coin claims will be swell.

If she can do it, why not me. Maybe I should give it a try also. Can’t be harder than rebuilding a sohc from scratch. Or can it?

You damned miners have created a graphics card shortage!!!

Jeez!

i only bought two!  cause thats what newegg allowed...and it still blew a 0.045btc hole in my wallet!

Why Win7?
How much the new rig cost to build?

windows 7-64bit was easy to attain, and doesn't contain the spyware, adware, or misc. bloatware of Windows 8 (the ocho) and 10.

cost of components breakdown.

2x 1060 gpu's
ddr4 ram (returned because needed ddr3)
1tb hdd
newegg - .041btc w/.004 network fee (20 minute vip price) bitcoin was at 17.5k when order was placed

asrock mobo - $150
ddr3 ram - $40
evga 750 psu - $115
pcie riser 4pk - $30
keyboard and mouse - $15
utility screen - $40
 - amazon - $390

so without calculating the mining cost per bitcoin spent.  or adjusting for coin value.  the gpu rig cost about $1100

and after a 6 days of mining...made .05zec (zcash) which is about $23.  $10 of which got shapeshifted into litecoin so I could send it to my mom.

I may or may not be able to mine ethereum going into the future as planned.  the network developers are planning to roll out some changes which would negatively affect miners.

So, are you mining bitcoin or ethereum?

Which model asrock mobo did you buy?
What about a CPU?  Intel I presume.
How fast is the ddr3 and how much ddr3?
Any reason to choose a hdd over an sdd?

Mining Zcash.  So, neither!
Had trouble starting eth miners because i'm a newb at cfg file writing.  Couldnt get connected to a pool.
But the ewbf cuda zec miner started on the first kick!

Got the asrock h81 btc 2.0 board.  6 pcie slots.
intel i5 core processor (guess i forgot to mention that)
X fury ram is 4gb.  Single chip.
The price on the seagate barracuda drive was decent.

A new cryptocurrency exchange has launched and unlike the industry giant COINBASE - the aptly named ROBINHOOD platform does not charge any buy fees.  They only fees robinhood will charge are the ones required by law.  If you trade $1mil, its a paltry sum to pay.  They allow access to traditional stocks as well.

I'm gonna post my referral link here for anyone who wants to check it out.
