1981 cb650 carb unknown vacuum tube

Does anyone know what that black tube on top of the carb connects to? Cannot find it in any manuals. Thank you

Looks like the breather for the vacuum switch.
Route it back and down to behind the swingarm pivot.
If it's worth doing at all it's worth over-doing.

Would it hang free or is there somewhere to insert it on the other end?

most of the vent tubes go between the back of the tranny/motor and the front of the swing arm.
