Agreed, but the manufacturers dont do it for two reasons: cost and weight.

anyone else notice that the Yamaha MT=10 has nuts and bolts that are all special, not available anywhere, except maybe at the dealerships?

What's the frickin point of the Yamaha trike?  I mean really - what's the frickin' point?

As for the Kawi - that's rad, like really rad.  I only hope they offer it in the US market.  Like a lot of cool bikes, it seems like they only offer them in non-US markets, saving all their lame designs for us.

Can you point out which ones?  I don’t think yamaha would go so far as to reinvent the fastener.  That would have a negative implication for their industry presence.  From having to retool all of their dealerships.  Then trying to convince students that the additional cost of their training would be worth it.
