Yeah it should, iirc my 71 cb750 tank fit nicely on my wife's 81 cb650c when I bought it from a friend. It now has a 78 cb400t tank on it, the issue you will find is the rear mounting tab on the 750 tank is secured by the rubber holder. On the cb650 iirc it's a bolt and rubber bushing, I had to dig up a new bracket for the bolt and bushing to secure the 400t tank but it will fit like normal on the front of the tank.
