The stock K1 bars are much shorter lower than newer bars. I like the K1 bars better.

I ran Euro bars on my 550K and put them on my 550F for my trip last August.

I just removed them last weekend and reinstalled M-bars and the Euro is going on to my 750F to replace the stock bars.

Can you guys tell if those bars are from 400f? Got them with other parts and I'm not sure where they belong. Looks OEM, predrilled for control wires.

Dunk,  This 72' appears to have much lower bars than the one you picture ?  So, I'm wondering if it's the K2 that has the lower bars ?

Are you using the Road Low or Road "Ultra" Low ?  The clamping area width is about a 1/2" wider with the ultra bar .

And what about the throttle and clutch cable ?

I use the "Low" model. I kept my throttle and clutch cables the same. No adverse bending. They just swoop a bit more.

K1 is definitely lower than K5. It's possible K2 is lower, though that is a foreign market bike and there were some differences in bars, lighting, brackets, etc. between different markets so that may be a factor as well.

Just got an email back from David Silver's.  His 71' Honda CB 750 K1 Handlebars Part # 53100-300-610P  measure :  720mm ( 28.34" )  width
                                                                                                                                                                           60mm ( 2.36" ) rise
                                                                                                                                                                            60mm ( 2.36" ) pullback

Definitely appears to be a lot lower than the 71' you picture on your K1 ?  So who knows ?

I think if a person is looking for  "drilled" bars, then Part # 53100-300-610P ( 71' CB 750 K1  David Silvers )

Yes I ran them outside. They fit perfectly.

I like the height on them, but I'm also 6 foot tall. I have euro bars on my CB500 and the main difference I notice between the 400f bars and the euro bars is the width, the 400f bars are a bit narrower.

The Renthals are the best I've tried. I also used the Euro bars from vintagecb750 (with holes), and I just find the renthals dampen much more vibration, and have less pullback. More like a motocross bar... but not. Make sure you use a grip glue (I used Shoe-Goo) on the Left grip. The anodized Al is pretty slick, even with the knurling.

Went ahead and order David Silver's Euro Handlebar  # 53100-300-610P .  Had them in stock . People their ( Matt ) extremely Nice and Helpful.  I appreciate "All" that responded to this Post which helped greatly in making my decision.

They have the shorter Euro cables in stock. Hopefully I don't need them but will address that issue if needed .

I used the David Silver Low Bars on a 750F restoration and also used the 400F throttle cables and brake line, everything fit up perfect. The only cable I had to modify was the clutch.

I see that 4into1 has a pair of throttle cables for the CB400F about half the cost  :)  4into1 gives the measurements of these cables, so once I receive the bars and install them, I'll be able to see how much shorter cables I'll need. As far as the clutch cable, which is probably more crucial,  I'll try to outsource that one. DSS does have that cable.
