Front Wheel Bearing Retainer Dust Seal
« on: May 27, 2020, 08:58:49 PM »
Hey!
I am changing the bearings on the old '73 CB750 and I can't seem to remove the dust seal that slips inside the retainer.  Never having done this before I am unsure what the best strategy is.  I yanked on it from the bottom with a vise grip thinking it would come off but I only ended up ripping a chunk off.  Any thoughts?

Did mine not too long ago for a 750 and applying some heat with a heat gun or a torch should help out. The seal is pretty stiff so getting it softer is key and then prying it out carefully using the hub as leverage.
