It just seems like more fun than anything. You should see what this dude did to the Corvair. He had a reel to reel setup in the back seat with a solar panel on the front to power it.

A WHAT?  ???

got some ideas that could up the hilarity.

Lemons Peak hill climb colorado

Isle of Lemons TT

Lemons Baja 300

Dont forget the biggest race in the world:

Lemondianapolis 500

My dad owned own of those, a DS19. It had the double headlights with the high beam turning into corners. It was no lemon, never had anything go wrong with it.

This is completely off subject and I will not go further on this, but...You may want to ask your Dad! The DS19 did not have the dual headlights. The DS19 had "frogeye" style headlights. Also, if I remember right, the "corner turning" lights were not DOT approved in the U.S. and Citroen never sold them here.

Anyone know of these kinds of races in the northeast? I'm in CT and driving down to Texas isn't the most fun idea.

Didn't even look at the other events they have. There's also one in CT on the 11th which is my birthday, haha!

I'm starting to assemble a team, I'm hoping the team name can be A League of Extra Horny Gentlemen.

Looking for a front engine rear drive, but it's probably going to be front engine front wheel drive because that's all that's really around and I don't want to waste too much time finding a car.

The ideal car to get is an old Volkswagen Beetle. Air-cooled, no leaking radiators or head gasket issues, really reliable and there are still beaters out there available.

Do the rules say it has to be a production car?  Or can you weld a kart frame out of recycled fence posts?

I believe it has to be a production car, but I'm not sure. Fence posts are known for their reliability so I'll look into that. Thanks Bomber
