I stumbled across this cover of a Sting tune tonight:

No background music for me lately

Just the sweet sweet sound of inner ear damage

I've had tinnitus for years (31 years in a factory will do that), but I had an earache a couple of weeks ago and it's been horrible since then. I don't normally get earaches and there was no infection or drainage; just redness and inflammation. I still have that 5khz ringing in my left ear and a tiny bit of pressure. It sucks.

I've had tinnitus for years as well. Rock concerts, car races and gun shooting are all to blame.

Oh well... turn up the music and it goes away!

One of my friends in high school had an International Scout, an 8-track tape player, and two tapes: Led Zeppelin II and Santana. Going down the road, the tape player at full volume barely overcame the noise, but it was cool at the time. 8) I was able to record the first play of a vinyl Led Zep II on my dad's Roberts 1/4" reel-to-reel tape deck. I think I still have the tape stashed somewhere with my collection of 8mm films, from when I thought I would be the next George Lucas. ::)

My first car was a '70 Barracuda with an 8 track.

My good buddy, Lenny, gave me one of my first 8 tracks, Montrose [that featured Sammy Hagar on vocals]. I remember riding on his Kawasaki H1 500, fun times!!

Went on a movie binge and this gem of a caterwauling artist really set the mood.

Kids in class were listening to some melancholic whisky bent country ballads today.
Which seemed a little odd for a metal shop.  They flipped some lip about how i just don't get it.

They dont even know - i once played bass for a nashville alt country album.

Ooh.  Good one.  I'm still really partial to the Low Spark album.

I'm listening to a bass thumper while the guy across the street reads his mail in his car. Can't quite get the name of the tune though.

Grand Funk Railroad, before they went commercial:

I think you're randomly selecting cuts from my playlist!  Good stuff.

Grand Funk was so underrated, then and now. I tried my best to imitate Mark Farner back in the day when I piddled around in garagebands.
