And I've recently realized what a genius Stephen Stills is.

This is the original Neil Young version of Comes a time. I think now I prefer it to Lacy's cover?

Somewhere I have a VHS tape of old super 8 drag race film, no sound so they added music. When Radar love starts, my old front engine dragster that I owned in the late 80's makes a run. It was filmed in the 60's when it was a blown small block on gas. 191mph. It had a chute tunnel body with fins (think Bat Dragster) so it's easy to spot.
Now when I hear Radar Love, I always imagine my old dragster launching. Even with a stockish 4 barrel 377 sbc it was the most fun I ever had with my clothes on.

I know I already shared this but tonight I read the lyrics while it played. I always thought, mountains came out of the sky and "there's thunder," but they stand there, and "driving through the silence in and out the valley" is really "the sound, even in the valley".

My daughters and wife and I spent a year trying to figure out what this song was. One of them remembered the oogum boogum sound but not the words so google didn't help. The one that started it heard in in a commercial today.

Sorry to hear Kim Simmonds passed away from the big C a few days ago.  One of the great albums, sounding like I first heard it over 50 years ago, pops, surface noise, dust and all -

In the '70's and '80's, we had the Clash and Dead Kennedy's, etc., making political statements about war. Holiday in Cambodia, Sandinista, Washington Bullets.
Today, Pussy Riot is as punk as anyone. This could easily get them arrested (again) or killed in their homeland.
