It never ceases to amaze me what is available on you tube.  Be sure to turn this up and watch all the way through for full effect -

After listening to that horrible wailing, I needed some Sarah to soothe my ailing eardrums.... ;D

That was decent.  I like this version too. Too bad the sound isn't better, but David Hildago is great as usual -

This is a "going to Cordova to the drag races with my big brother song". Mid 60's, 1950 ford with a fresh 53 flathead, 4" mercury crank, 2 strombergs, alternator, harmon collins mag, offy intake and edelbrock heads. There must have been 10 pounds of barn dirt on the floor, it took about 20 miles to blow it all out the windows.
It had a 3 speed overdrive, on the second shift, the knob crumbled in his hand. Better than any episode of roadkill.

In the 70's, my favorite female vocalist was Linda Ronstadt. In the '80s it was Stevie Nicks.

Very cool thread! I've been on a Turnpike Troubadours kick lately. Started collecting vinyl again, too. Lots of classic rock. Pink Floyd, Bob Seger, Jackson Brown, Fleetwood Mac, etc.

Oh, and I recently stumbled across this Roger Waters version of "Mother". The best version I've heard.
