Had to get the bike serviced for it's 42,000 mile service - took the time to get the tires replaced since the front was almost bald.
Instead of the typical street tires, I opted for lugs, the winter weather in Seattle practically guarantees mud - so I wanted something for it.
Now I'm sporting brand new Anakee Wilds.
Those tires are made for that bike - definitely 50/50 or even 40/60 tires, but unlike some of the dual surface tires I've ridden these don't wobble around when on pavement - they're solid.
They do however get scary on wet pavement - my traction control has kicked in quite a bit since having them mounted. They also howl when on pavement. Very loud.
But, if they do their job I shouldn't have to worry about dumping it the first time I hit muddy roads, and in March when I get to 50k miles - I'll change them back out for Anakee streets.
