Sounds like an oil thread to me.
That's pretty much what makes-up mayo anyway.  :o

The third ingredient in Miracle Whip is high fructose corn syrup.  It's spreadable candy.  You may as well skip the pretense and put Nutella on your sandwiches, kids.  ;D

Olive oil. Some use vegetable oil, some prefer a high zinc-concentrated Kevlar-laden 20W-50 racing oil. Others prefer the more bland Canola or 10W-40 shtuff or even what the f*ck they can afford. The secret is to drizzle the oil as the blender is running. (that's what the kids are calling it)

Honestly tho - to each his own ;D ;D ;D

If you never made your own mayo, you may want to stick with a plain vegetable oil. While olive oil is better for you, it does have a more distinct taste that you may not like in the mayo.

Fair enough. I like the taste and even add a little lime from time to time.

Today I learned there are two factions in the U.S.! Never knew, that there is a deep divide between those who prefer the one over the other??
What are your feelings? :o
________________________________________________________________________________________
Always liked mayonnaise..either best Foods (West coast) or Heilman's (East coast).  I agree there were/are two distinct factions on this subject LOL.  My family since childhood always used mayo.  And..I didn't ever like the taste of sweet 'Miracle Whip" growing-up LOL (still prefer Mayo BTW LOL).  Only nowadays it's 'light mayo" LOL  Blast from the past..eh?

Try the Trader Joe's house brand mayo, its indefinite better than the major brand mayo or MW.

Heinz Mayo's third ingredient is high fructose corn syrup...so, it ain't just MW uses that awful ingredient...but it is in Mayo by some companies...

Read the label and pay attention to the sugar, fat, sodium, etc content in what you eat.

I like the tang of MW most of the time.... unless I have a big juicy hamburger that is properly cooked then a good layer of mayo is good with some fresh leaf lettuce, pickles, tomato that actually has flavor, and a good slice of pepper jack cheese or jalapenos on it.
