Topic: Can we not display images using the [img] tag?

There is even a button in the tools to add this functionality but actually not only in these forums I'm finding these days you can't display images remotely like that anymore. I see people are adding images via on site storage but that is limited hence my interest in displaying remotely. Am I out of luck now? If so, how much space do we have to store images and what happens when you inevitably run out? Thanks

Remote hosting images still works fine here.  I use Imgur now, but most any image hosting site should work.  Just put the direct link between the "[img]" tags, and your pictures should show up.

That's what I've been doing and I can only get a link not a direct display

Still working on my end, and I don't have any special permissions for image linking that I know of. 

This is exactly what I put:  (img]https://i.imgur.com/aeoLcTQ.jpg[/img)  Just replace the outer parenthesis with brackets.

Above between the quotes I swear is the url, or at least I pasted it in there so I think it's reading it but not displaying anything. Maybe it does work but there's a delay?

Copy and paste this:

Put what your trying to use in the code tags below, this allows the software to display with out running it.

Next see: "Code: [Select]"  Clicking [Select] will highlight everything in the code box for exact copying.

Side note Gordon, you see the BBcode error: the ending /code < should have been displayed in the box. Most likely a small syntax error when adding the BBcode.
