Oil level rises?
« on: February 17, 2018, 10:22:37 PM »
I think this might have been talked about before..

I've noticed that if I put my 350f on the center stand before starting her up and check the oil level I get a slightly lower reading than if I check it after riding around for a good 15-20.. Is this normal? if so what is the proper measurement take?
Thank you

Also according to the manual to check oil level you must "lower the main stand to support the machine"
Does this mean the center stand that we use to perform adjustments or just the kick stand?

hold the bike vertical on its wheels, check the oil without screwing in the dip stick, done.

Yes, put it on the center stand....and my guess is the oil level could be slightly higher after running because of heat expansion....but also, oil is still draining from the top end, valvetrain,etc......so I guess, depending on when you measure, it could be higher.......certainly nothing to worry about...
