Keihin 054A (CB400F) choke parts
« on: November 22, 2017, 05:25:18 AM »
Hello,

I'm picking up parts to build a CB400F and I'd like some help with some carb pieces.

I bought a rebuilt carb pack that had all the choke parts removed and holes plugged. Most of the important parts came with the pack but I'm missing a few small pieces. And I don't feel like paying hundreds of dollars for too many parts that I don't need.

Here's what I need:

-8x felt seals (I'm going to make those myself)
-ball bearing spring (I have the ball, and I'm going to find a spring that works alright)
-nylon shim (see attached image)
-choke cam spring (see attached image)
-Far right carb end cap (see attached image)

I'm sure I can fab a shim with some nylon washers/spacers, but do you guys have any ideas for the spring and the end cap?

Thanks.

**these are not my images. They were taken from the internet for reference purposes**

I'm in Montreal.

I looked all around, and the best price I can find for the "link set" is 70USD + shipping. It seems rather steep for what will essentially be a spring and an end cap.

Thanks.

I noticed last night that I'm also missing the dowel that has a hole for a tiny cotter pin (as well as that cotter pin). I can certainly machine something for that, though.
