Yeah..seems like toilets and sanitary concerns are a regular concern in third-world countries..understandably so..as a lot of transmissible diseases are spread that way..through poor sanitation practices/facilities.
As most know here..my beloved Japanese family and friends..Japanese culture in general seems a little over-fixated on toilets and associated things. During the Meiji Era (up until the 1860's)..Japanese cities had terrible epidemics of Cholera..dysentery..et al. Actually in the U.S. around that time..we had some pretty bad epidemics of those diseases..also caused in large part by 'ass-to-mouth' contamination.
Anyway..not wanting to get into my 'Doc' mode here: But just wanted to say that although 'Toilet Day' seems a little absurd to most of us here nowadays (including myself)..I think there's good precedent for something like that..again..in developing countries.
As several of us here have also commented on previous threads..another amusing topic for discussion..seems to be the Japanese penchant for toilet seats..that just about do everything but get an orgasm for you LOL. I can relate some of the 'modern marvels' of our Japanese toilet seats here at home..if any here would like to pursue that topic further LOL
Thanks for the posting vfourfreak!
