Thinking of painting my bike- Photoshop help?
« on: January 01, 2007, 12:47:33 PM »
I've been thinking lately about painting my 350f. I'll send a pic, and I was wondering if someone who does Photoshop wanted to play around with it, maybe see what it might look like beore I commit. I was thinking silver on the tank and seat hump, with a black pinstripe in the stock location on the tank, Was going to leave the sidecovers black, and maybe paint the cylinder block black as well, leaving the rest of the motor natural. So if anyone want to play around with it, have at it!

The pink fuzzy effect is nice. Reminds me of a plush 60's lounge couch  ;) :D

I think he was looking for a more solid color effect. 8)

Photo Shop CS. This was an overlay trick that gives the anodized look.

This is done with the polygon lasso tool. Make your selection around the given part.

Make new layer and then use paint brush
then set to overlay for the new layer.

Similar to the "red eye" removal trick

Yeah, not too thrilled with that color for Daniel's bike but, that is a good job of color
changing though. Very cool work. 8)

I use windows paint. dont know if your computer has it, but when you see the effects I am able to do I would humbly say that it is worth every penny. If any one is interested I use the paint brush and the line tool. I also magnify it real good so I dont get out of the lines. Teal, I have to cook dinner but as soon as I get done I will try to get something worked up for ya.

Nope, it must be the angle of the pic. I've got stock length Tim's shocks on it. Also I shortened the rear fender by about 4" yesterday. I like the look better.

EC- Man I kinda like that red.

I'm still laughing. :D  On the other hand, I know what color to paint my ATV now.

Thanks Jay b. This is not what I do full time though. It's more of a life long love of mine- art that is. I was going to do the stripes but I just cant hold my hand steady enough so I just used electrical tape on my screen. You should see it.
