I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Awright men, it's getting close again, so I dug this historical old chestnut out again and dusted it off for another year, how did your 2008 New Years resolutions go?

If it was like my "lose 50 pounds in 2008" promise to myself, well, not so good, so now's the time to make another promise that you fully intend to keep!

In fact I actually put on weight right up until November, but I pulled my finger out in the last month and I'm down 28 pounds on what I was this time last year, not 50 I know, but a big "woohoo", anyway!

My 2009 New Years resolution is to lose another 28 pounds, finish my K2 resto, sort my F2 out, paint my K0, build my 1060cc engine and get my long delayed "Endurance Racer" project back on track............. Whew!

I guess I'll be happy if I just get a couple of these jobs done by this time in 2009, ha ha! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Hey Terry, cool about bringing this old one up! Until I went to the 1st page and saw the date, I really thought I musta been sleeping and you all were working overtime! ;D Lots of Luck on that weight loss Terry. 8)

                                    Take care, Bill

My new years resolution is to quit smoking , again but for a longer time as running on the soccer pitch is getting more difficult.

There ya go Fuzzy, hope things work out with ya. ;)

    1. I could stand to lose a bit of weight myself.
    2. Get this Stupid "Guardianship" Lawsuit over with and get them
out of my Dad's life forever!
    3. Try to get my Dad back in shape enough to get him in the
Retirement Home, so we can more easily get out and do
things and help him feel like he's getting a more regular life
        back.
    4. Get our lives back in some kind of order and make an attempt
to do some wrenching on some of my projects.

Have to just see what happens, Bill ;)

Mr Breeze! We have this thing here in Minnesota they might have it out in California, but it's a laser treatment to help you quit smoking. The laser actually turns off the part of you that craves smokes. I don't know the specifics but I know a couple of my friends have done it and it worked great for them! They have like a 80% success rate which is pretty good when it comes to combating one of the most addictive substances known to man...

Fcuk that schitt Fuzzy, get off those fcuking drugs and reward yourself with an occasional beer mate, I tell you right now, beer is the lesser of the two evils! ;)
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

So how are your self-imposed resolutions going, men? I got on the scales this morning after my 5am morning walk/run, and I've now lost 21 Kg, or 46.2 pounds, in the old language. Only another 20 pounds, and I'll be happy to take my shirt off in public again! Cheers, "Slimbo". ;D

I'd advise you against any exercise/strenuous activity in the morning. Terry.

a lot of people die in their sleep, and get discovered dead by 8am- when a lot of people wake up?  - morning exercise is good for you- and youve lost a lot of weight by that method it seems- good onya!

i am really proud of you terry- it may just motivate me to do something about my own life shortening shortcomings.  not until next new years though, naturally.

keep up the good work- you will be around to bother us a lot longer, which you will get a kick out of I'm sure.

I didn't make any this year.I flopped on last years to quit smoking.I tried Wellbuterin and later Chantrix(still have couple of months supply). Things in life changed and I went back to what I know. While I realize smokes aren't healthy....they get me through the day for now. I don't smoke as much as I did and if things ever settle down.....I'll take another stab at it.I am the total opposite of "The Great Master Of Willpower" and I have great respect for those that can make the changes that they wish to.
