Small, back rest, home made, for my 7 year old son.
« on: November 25, 2017, 08:00:53 AM »
I ride a bike for the freedom feeling I get when On!
I don't like to double Period!
Their are reasons I do double though.
Emergency!
Back in the day, chasing Tail?
Kids and grand Kids!
My seat has benn shortened a tad. Barley room for a passenger.
All kids want to ride,so I haul them with a Smile!
My 7 year old has begged for a back rest all summer.
I promised I would build one before spring.
No company last night in shop so I started.
Now I ant no professional at upholstery, but it will give some support to the passenger.

It attaches to the seat and opens with it.
When seat is shut, it rest against the fender bag.
Hope to finish today and take little Ben for a test ride,he's excited about it?

That should help your little passengers feel more “locked in”!

When I was a kid and my older brothers would give me a ride on their H2 Kaws they always insisted I put my arms around their waist just so they'd know I was still there in case they rolled the throttle a bit too much.  :o

Yes he holds on like someone is trying to pull him off.
He kept asking to open it up, so over the weekend I did a 0 to bout 75mph wot burst,
He came home with a Smile, said that's enough for now?
The back rest was on and finished!

It opens with the seat, and can easily be removed if I need to.

Good idea.  Looks like it came with the bike!

My bike hasn't been ridable in years but I can remember putting the twins (one at a time of course) on the tank to ride.  Until they got too big for me to see over helmet lol.  Now at 26 I guess that won't be happening again.
