XL350 Wiring question
« on: December 03, 2017, 08:16:18 PM »
I'm putting together an XL350 flat tracker but have something wrong with my wiring and keep blowing the fuse... Can someone point out what's wrong?

I have a simple on/off switch, stock charging system and a battery.

Thank you!

To run the bike true, but if he wants to run any lights at all he'll need a 6V battery of some kind.

Thank you for the response.

Without lights, would I just connect the points and coil to the main switch power wire and connect the ground wire to the frame?

The reason the fuse is blowing is you have wired battery negative to one side of the switch, and battery positive to the other side. Turn the switch on, and the fuse goes poof. :o Battery plus from the fuse should go straight to one side of the switch, and the loads should be connected to the other side.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!
