You're right. When I was in Vietnam we had 500,000 troops there and it didn't overwhelm anyone. A determined guerilla force is difficult, if not impossible to defeat. The more support they have locally, the more difficult it will be.
Too bloody right Bob, when I rule the world, I'll take all the "green" coalition forces out, and just send in groups of SF "guerrilla's", with air support, to do their "black" role.
That way there'd be no coalition troops on the ground for the locals to slag off and take pot-shots at, but at night, the insurgents would be feeling very uneasy, to say the least. Cheers, Terry.
