I'm assuming you don't have the socket from the on-board tool kit. This comes up frequently, use a thin-walled, long-neck 18mm socket, preferably for spark plugs so it will have the rubber insert. I use one in conjunction with a short U-joint. Makes getting at the inner two easier.

My spark plug wrench came from Motion Pro, as I don't have the factory toolkit. My regular 18mm socket was too big to get to No. 2.

The u-joint really helps!  And when you go to reinstall, use El Cheapo's trick of a lenght of fuel hose to start it (look in the Tech Tips section).

Nothing work better than the honda toolkit wrench. Looks like a plumbing tool. The trick is you need a thin wall socket. Check ebay for a toolkit

I bought an 18mm spark plug socket and had trouble with #2 as well.

I've got a spark plug socket from a tool kit I bought at checker auto, It works good.  due to the nature of nos. 2 and 3, they are gonna be trickier than 1 and 4 no matter what socket or tool you use.

gee i just went to sears and got a regular 18mm craftsman plug socket and have no trouble. Dont know what type of sockets some of you are buying but impact sockets are thicker.

Mine was from AutoZone; Great Neck brand or something, not an impact socket either.  I was hoping the thin wall wrench from my mid 80's Honda lawnmower would work but it was the wrong size.

I use an 18mm Craftsman Sparkplug Socket, it works perfectly for all plugs on my 750.

I hate to agree with a K8 owner,  but I got the same socket Eldar has, and have never had a problem.
