hey ofreen, if we're not allowed to make ignorant blanket statements about harleys, we may just have to about other things.  i say harley be damned.  "see no evo, speak no evo,  hear no evo, ride no evo" right?
although i would take a free one- just so i cold make fun of it at home...

As far as I'm concerned, you are allowed to say whatever you want about Harleys, or anything else.  Thing is, Harleys are nice bikes.  I wouldn't have one because I don't care for cruisers that much.  I don't enjoy a bike that you have to talk into going around a corner, plus I don't like the seating position.  But if I were to get a cruiser, it would be a Harley.  It is hard to say they are over-priced when you look at the prices of some of the Japanese cruisers now.  As far as reliabily goes, there are a lot of people out there putting big miles on their H-Ds.

Well not wanting to insult something as dear to the hearts of the US population as their own native beer here, I'll just say that I was actually talking about Harleys. Y'see, unlike 99% of you guys, I've owned one and still ride them regularly, and I know from my own experience they're great bikes. Enough of that though, we've all had discussions about HD versus Jappers before, so no point flogging a dead horse, hey?

NC, Smokey Mountains, it all sounds so cool, but I'll only have a couple of weeks this trip and I think the internal air fares hopping from state to state would kill me guys, eventually I'd like to ride a bike (a Honda 750 or a Harley Electra Glide) from coast to coast, but sadly that won't happen this trip, but maybe later when someone organises another SOHC4 bike run Imight be able to come over again for that? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)
