Help with removing brake pads

Where can I get a step by step for these brakes? They are the ones with two pistons whatever they're called. I've got the Clymer's and have checked the links to pdfs on this site but I've only found instruction for the single piston design. The pads are secured on a pin that I don't see how to remove. I can upload a pic if need be but I suspect you'll know what I'm talking about.

BTW, do these dual piston brakes have an advantage or disadvantage over the single ones?

juntjoo,  not sure if this covers the dual piston design.  asked a local guy for a few photos from his manual.

thx. so this is just a parts diagram? didn't come from any manual?

any idea how to remove #18's?

also btw to anyone: can you soak brake parts in carb cleaner or sbould you use brake parts cleaner(duh)? or how do you clean your break parts if you don't soak them, and should I? I just don't want to spend for a gallon of something I don't need

just a parts diagram.

this video is for servicing a dual piston front caliper on an 82 900f.  perhaps they are the same caliper or similar enough to get you through your work.

lol, still stuck on this. Anyone out there with these brakes have an answer for me for these pins?

I've found like two videos out of 20 that had similar pins, couldn't see exactly and they just used pliars to pull them out and theirs may not have what mime have which is like an arrow tip end on the other side where this metal 'retainer' I've heard it called held into place by a bolt which I'm unclear on it's purpose as the flared out arrow tips prevent them from being pulled out from the other side, so far as I can tell. Totally puzzled here. Don't see any obvious way to remove these pins

never mind! those flared arrow ends in fact do NOT block the pins from backing out. Just my misconception. they're out now....

fortunately I'm probably one of few if any more out there that is getting stuck here. nonetheless, basically, if you thought that these pins weren't going to go through due to the arrow heads which indeed lock up,  but only to the retaining plate bolted over them, NOT the caliper itself. silly me. That would be impossible.  So there's nothing tricky here.

And while we're here, to make more efficient use of your parts cleaner ($20-30 a gallon!), put your parts through stages with multiple cans, using each one til you've decided it's too dirty (gotta figure out a system, a color chart or something. maybe use q-tips. glue one to a piece of card  board as reference) then toss it and add a new can to the system. 3 minimum, but the more the better but more can changing.
This way at every stage of use your $25 is is used, not just the first few. I'm figuring you could get another 3-5 soaks more per can before they become like grease paint.
