The original Honda Dream 50 models
« on: March 19, 2014, 01:37:16 PM »
Hi All.
Just to set the matter straight on the Honda Dream 50.
As a retired Honda dealer and Scrambles Champion here is a run down on the Honda Dream 50.
1. Honda CB50V 49.9cc DOHC red and silver only made in 1997 with full road equipment
2. Honda CB50W same spec's black and red  only made in 1998 also full road equipment
3. Honda CB50r  49.9cc DOHC made for racing no speedometer, lights, horn, signal lights, mirrors, battery like the road  going  models but with many special Honda Racing Parts and only a slight increase in HP.
Any information and a complete illustrated parts list can be found at CMS (Consolidated Motor Spar)at< www.cmsnl.com>
Nor sure about production models but cannot be that high possibly in the 3000 for the road going models.
I do own a CB50V 1997 red and silver fuel tank.
Some fellow at the Honda SOHC4 has many post about his CB50V and is modifying his spending lots of money which I do not do as I like the stock models much better and if one likes to go faster it is better IMHO to buy a different model.
Hi also bought a 20mm carburettor and than found out it came stock with a 20mm.
I anybody likes some more information on these little wonders let me know, I also have the original service manual for the Honda CB50r

I just created a video about my Honda Dream 50R... There are lot of pictures in the video and the sound of the engine, when it was started for first time... I had to sell this bike in the end, but I've owned it for 3 years and it was really amazing bike!
