Hey Frankie!  Batcave and garage are packed to the gills!  And I've brought a couple bikes to my buddies ranch to store out of the way.

Went to the Batcave today looking for a 16" Harley wheel for orbs.  I remembered I had one, I thought about throwing it away last year!

Found it and quite a few good parts fo da fiddy dolla special!

Super nice seat, fender, bucket, airbox, horn and grab rail.

Hey Andy....ya know, I looked at the vinyl pattern and thought it was incorrect for a K5.

I don't want to sell it but may be willing to trade if you can come up with another seat in similar condition.

Steve, I have a new OEM headlight for your headlight bucket. Don’t have original box but was ordered for my K7.

Might be the same? No part number, it was on the box.  ::)

Not a whole lot to report, spent a few hours organizing/rearranging the garage this weekend so the wife's 370Z would fit in the garage. It's been outside since I got the Vette last month. She was not happy the day we got freezing rain and her power windows and locks wouldnt work!

It's a tight fit, but two cars and 8 bikes are jammed in there!
She say two bikes have to go, she so funny, I just laugh!!

So back to da fiddy dolla special:  pulled the spare motor out of the Batcave...

Brought it to my buddies shop and got it partially disassembled and it aint looking good...

Not only is it rusted, but it is stuck. But basicly got it for free, so I got my money's worth!

On a positive note, the cam and rockers look good...

Overall, the head looks ok, guides are within spec but the valves/seats may need a little more than lapping. The head will be going to the machinist this week for blasting and a second opinion.

Add $0.

Every time I'm out in the garage working or I bring home a new bike, I think "I wish this damn car wasn't in the way." I've been thinking about getting a lift to store it on. That way, I could get like 8 more bikes

If the current garage could accommodate a lift, I would be tempted to do the same.

Exactly.  Vintage cars are just not that fun, compared to bikes.  Bikes are more fun to ride, generally faster, take up less room and a hell of a lot cheaper.

Vintage cars are just not that fun, compared to bikes.

Not really fair to compare, they are so much different.

I went to a Cars and Coffee meet yesterday, saw some really cool cars.

On the way home, took one of my fav twisty roads, Lime Creek Road.  As I was driving, a Viper turned only the road going same way as me. For the next few miles, I did my best not to hold him up, and I did pretty good, he never did get right up on my tail. It wasnt a race, but just two cars enjoying a spirited ride on a great road!

I eventually pulled over, let him by, my old car is no match for that modern car's suspension and 450hp motor, but it was run running with him!

Not my video but will give you an idea of the road...

That's an awesome story. I daily drive a '79 Scout and while it may not be as fun as a bike, i love it most days. It definitely would not be keeping up with either your Vette or a Viper, unless we get off the beaten path. As uncomfortable as it is on long drives, I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Apologies for the segue, carry on. Btw the exhaust will be done within two weeks. Any advice for mounting?

Looking forward to more posts and stories!
