Topic: how to adjust accelerator pump?

as I state in the vid, two guides I've read simply state to bend the adjusting arm. Are we talking about taking it out and putting it in a vise and getting out some tools or use some pliars and bend a little something in there? and why didn't they just make it adjustable with a knob or something?

I read that there is supposed to be a gap there between the rod and the adjusting arm. As shown in the vid they're up against each other so either the rod needs to come back or the arm needs to go back. As it stands the rod is being depresseda couple mm's. How is yours?

it's in the middle of the screen, the gap behind the adjusting arm and carb bodg. anyone know if there should be a gap and if so how much? OR, what is the length of this diaphram rod supposed to be?

I'm wondering if I may have put weight in the arm with the spring that links the throttle pulley to it all and bent it. Mine's 90°. Im wondering if it WAS like 95°

F it. I just cut off 3 millimeters and it's perfect. hopefully no one responds telling me I messed up.

sorry, late reply 
there were 2 different length plunger rods, short for the PD carbs, long for the CV carbs. Someone replaced yours with the wrong one, cut and shut, carry on sir.

You can bend too.  Yes with pliers.
