You need a pair of these steel capped thongs, flip flops.
I love wearing my regular non steel capped ones, however they do have the bad habit of breaking at the worse possible time.
I had a pair (well one of em) break at an international cricket game. Oh boy! it was no fun going to the dunnies with a half inch of urine all over the floor in bare feet.
Hmmm.. I can imagine Jesus wearing these into the temple when he 'kicked out' the money changers, and kicked over their tables... hehe... safety first!

So many options!

Ha ha ha a ha
Fish flops  ;D
I was expecting the 'usual' pictures of torn up feet/foot with no skin left on and bones sticking out
Just get a tube of silicon bath sealer and paint it on your feed then stand on some old sections of tyre so you can cut out the feet shapes. CROCS - who the hell invented something to make your feet sweat that bad and convinced  people it's a good thing?

Footwear can be pretty hilarious in some ways.
In medieval England for instance it was once fashionable amongst the "dandies" to wear these special leather boots that had slits cut in them.
You wore red socks underneath them and when you walked along the slits would open and close, supposedly looking like opening and closing vaginas.
I used to be an artist until I got sick of all the easy money you could make. For a while I made shoe sculptures. Here are some pics of em.
They are in timber. Generally scaled up a bit.
Let's not forget about the really sensible old Chinese idea about "footbinding" either. That is so sick it's almost unfathomable.

Hey Dave... Last time I was in Mexico I saw a "salon" with small aquariums.   There are dozens of small fish  in them and you put your feet in - they supposedly eat all the dead skin off your feet!

I did not do it.

So that's where McDonald's get the fish for their fish sandwich. Good to know.
