SNOWMOBILE in the SOUTH ?
« on: January 06, 2018, 09:02:11 am »
Hey FRANK : Want me to load up some SNOW MACHINE RACERS ???? And head South ....... Floods and Snow has been on you-alls weathers report on my TV 2017 and now 2018. My Lady is down in Bradenton Fla. for a winter break , I'm in Ohio 01 -07 degrees taking care of both houses and all the four legged paws. Might need a SUNNY DAY on my face at the spring Man Cup in Valdosta.

Pops, no snowmobile racing down here. We had a winter wonderland for one day and it was gone.

Hope you can make the first race in Valdosta this time. See you there.

We had a cool snowmobile here in town, I think it was called Rated R
Kawi dragbike motor, detuned a bit..1320ccI think, reversed head, Magnusen blower, 2 Hilborn injectors.. 750 hp on nitro.
It was a beast.. Built by CR Racing who built a few snowmobile racing engines, adding a third cylinder to a set of twin cased.. He dragraced them a lot on pavement.. Quick stuff.

IF I got the name right, there is youtube Videos of the Kawi powered sled.  Rated R or 750 hp snowmobile.

Those sleds launch hard, I've seen them race on asphalt. Usually small wheels under the skis I think.

On my first two trips to Valdosta, they had sled racing there when it was still under the AMA sanction.
On the flight in, I met two ladies on the plane who were sled racers from Canada.
They ran some awesome times on the SGMP track.
The last I heard they were knocking on the door of the 7s at 160mph.

The local snowmobile club had their annual radar run drags on the city lake last weekend. They just race for top speed and have a few classes. Last year they never got enough ice to do it. 45 miles from here on the rock river they run on the ice then go across open water to the ice on the other side of the open water.
