Cb650z in Central Texas
« on: January 09, 2018, 08:27:20 AM »
I’ve used this forum a ton when getting my ‘79 cb650z back to running condition so now I decided to make an account while I go through some of the more obscure things. Got the bike for $400 from a guy who was cleaning out a barn last November, had 13k miles on it and last ran/registered in 1988, the year before I was born haha. Anyway, I’ve cleaned it up, replaced some things, repaired some things and I’ve got it running pretty great now. I love it. Whatcha think?

That’s guys for the warm welcome! I’ve just replaced a few engine seals to get rid of a couple oil drips and I’m working on trimming up the rear fender. I have 2 questions: what tail light does someone get when they trim the rear fender and change the angle it’s on? And, are there and regular social gatherings for riders in central tx? In Dallas we had several Bikes and Coffee meets to choose from Saturday’s and Sunday’s

Dos in S. Austin has bike nights during the summer.
