1974 Starter button
« on: January 06, 2018, 04:33:42 PM »
Hello,

What does the contact look like on the 74 Starter button?

My 74 was missing the original starter button and someone had inserted a momentary contact switch. Not a bad job but just not stock.

I have some spare parts lying around and found a starter button from another honda. Well, I believe it was a single wire switch that only grounded the solenoid.

What does the correct contact look like? Does anyone have a picture?

Regards,

I think it has two wires, according to my schematic. One is Y/R the other is G/R.

Charlie's right about the colors. I had to re-solder my wires inside as they were corroded apart.
