I just signed up today for the TD Ameritrade Five Boro Bike Ride in NYC May 6th. I did this in 2008 and it was a lot of fun.

Back then I drove from Chicago with my bike on the back of my car. This time I am thinking I am going to buy a cheap Harbor Freight trailer and figure out a way to get a hitch onto my 750F (after I get the bike up and running of course) or the 550 if the bigger bike isn't ready.

There is a camp ground on Staten Island, which is where the ride finishes up. Now I just need to get my butt in gear with the 750.

Is it good camping early May ?
 Up here even on May21st long weekend, crossing the mountain passes gets a bit sketchy and cold. You can hit light snow or sleet.. ?ĺ
 We used to set out to the coast on May Long back in the day, but usually got caught in some harsh weather.
 Sounds like a fun ride though.

NYC is quite a bit farther south than Kelowna.

When I did the 5 Boro in 2008 it was sunny and 70's the whole week.
