Electrix World Race Ignition
« on: November 15, 2025, 09:17:24 PM »
Good afternoon I have fitted an Electrix World ignition to my Cr750 has anyone else fitted one?

I fitted mine as stated in the instruction supplied with the unit, it states that you set #1 cylinder at TDC fit the stator, install the rotor lining up the red marks on the rotor with the same mark on the stator, I did this and I can't get it to start, I have had a flame out the exhaust, that indicates to me the timing is out?

Can anyone shed some light as into what I'm doing wrong?
Cheers

I've fitted 3 of these Electrex kits to my CB500, CB350 K4 & Yamaha TZ - but not on the CR750

My guess is that you have connected up the leads from the stator to the CDI the wrong way round

The Black/Red/Green wire connector from the stator should go to the CDI that connects to the coil that is connected Cylinder 1

Also ensure the HT leads are connected to the correct cylinders 1 & 4 for Black/Red/Green wired CDI  - cylinders 2 & 3 for the Blue/White/Black wired CDI

Hope this helps

Cheers Nasher, I have fitted a few HPI ignitions to TZ"s and a TR500 without any problems and I'm quite sure the wiring is correct but I will re check.

sounds like retarded ignition..... or even mixup between 1-4 and 2-3

marks or not, put a degreeing wheel on and use a strobe gun, specially in CR replica where you want it spot on
