Hi, I picked a CB750 race bike project, the post by H2Eric "A CR750 build" inspired me to build it in the style of the Daytona racers, probably going to need to ask questions as I go, and have scoured the HP and Racing forum Daytona 70's thread, great info and great reading.

I currently race a CB350K4 twin.

Not sure if I can post pics yet. (actually it looks like I can)...

For those interested, its a CB350K3, slightly modified frame (seam welded and some extra tubes along the spine from the headstock back to the seat rails, similar to the RSC 350's).CB500 35mm forks (modified internally), CB450 triple clamps, CB350/4 front hub and disc, with a Lockheed caliper and bracket to suit. The engine has a lightened and dynamically balanced crank with 66mm Ross pistons sourced from Bore Tech. The valves are std 7mm stem Kibblewhite valves, (1mm os inlet), 32mm Mikuni carbs, kevlar fibre clutch plates, Cappellini oil filter, race cam designed by a guy (Ray Glanville) from Christchurch who was the guru on CB350's, the cam is made by a local company, Kelfords.  The specs are similar to the Megacycle X5 cam actually. I haven't dyno'd the bike, but it has similar power and speed to a guy who has dyno'd his bike at 45hp. More than enough to have fun in classic circles here in NZ.

A few more pics. The class here is "Classic 70's" which is Japanese up to 1972 and Non Japanese up to 1976, so I decided to paint it a non traditional but still classic 70's colour scheme: Gulf Racing. I've got another 350 on the go that will be painted white with Martini stripes.
